Website Terms of Use
Effective date: September 22, 2026
These Website Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of theonedanceexperience.com (the "Website"), operated by The One Dance Experience ("The One," "we," "us" or "our"). By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Website Information
The Website provides information about The One Dance Experience events, competition levels, venues, schedules, convention programming, awards and related opportunities.
We work to keep the Website accurate and current, but event information may change. Dates, venues, schedules, faculty, adjudicators, programming, availability and other details may be updated when necessary. Important changes will be communicated through the Website, participating studios or another appropriate channel.
2. External Registration, Ticketing and Payment Links
Registration, ticketing and payment are not completed on the Website. When you select one of these links, you may be redirected to a third-party platform. Information and payment details submitted after leaving the Website are governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
A link from the Website does not guarantee event availability, eligibility, qualification or acceptance. Participation remains subject to the applicable event rules, deadlines and confirmation process.
3. Event Rules and Other Terms
Participation in an event may be governed by additional documents, including:
-
Competition Rules and Regulations;
-
registration, payment, cancellation and refund terms;
-
participant waivers and media permissions;
-
venue policies;
-
schedules and event-specific instructions; and
-
rules issued by third-party registration, ticketing or payment providers.
If these Website Terms conflict with an event-specific agreement or rule, the event-specific document will apply to that issue.
4. No Professional Advice
Website content is provided for general information about our events and services. It is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Studios, teachers, parents and guardians remain responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for each dancer and for communicating relevant health, safety or accessibility needs through the proper channels.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its content—including text, branding, logos, graphics, photographs, videos, layouts and downloadable materials—are owned by or licensed to The One Dance Experience and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and use Website content for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, publish, sell, distribute, scrape or commercially exploit Website content without prior written permission.
This restriction does not prevent a participant or authorized recipient from using photos or videos delivered to them as part of an event media package in accordance with any terms that accompany that media.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
-
use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes;
-
attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website or connected systems;
-
interfere with the Website’s security, availability or operation;
-
upload or transmit malicious code;
-
collect information about other users without authorization;
-
impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority to act for a studio, dancer or family; or
-
use Website content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
7. Forms and User Submissions
You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is accurate and that you have authority to provide it. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information through a general contact form.
When you submit a question, testimonial, review, image or other content, you confirm that you have the right to do so. We will not publicly use a testimonial, image or similar promotional submission without appropriate permission.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Website may link to services operated by other organizations, including registration, ticketing, payment, hotel, venue, livestream, social media and video platforms. External services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, security, accuracy or practices of third-party websites. A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse every product, service or statement available through that website.
9. Website Availability and Disclaimer
The Website is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components.
To the extent permitted by law, The One Dance Experience disclaims warranties relating to the Website and its content, including implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, The One Dance Experience and its directors, personnel and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of—or inability to use—the Website or a linked third-party service.
These Website Terms do not replace participant waivers, event agreements or any rights and remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to the Website or These Terms
We may update the Website and these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page will show when the Terms were last updated. Continued use of the Website after an update means that the revised Terms apply to your future use.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute relating solely to these Terms or use of the Website will be subject to the courts of British Columbia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
13. General
If part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
