The One Dance Experience is committed to creating a welcoming experience for dancers, families, studios and visitors, including people with disabilities. We are working to make our website and event information easier to access, understand and use.

Our Approach

Our accessibility work is guided by recognized web accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). As our website evolves, we aim to improve:

keyboard navigation;
readable text and colour contrast;
descriptive page headings and link labels;
alternative text for meaningful images;
captions or transcripts for videos containing important spoken information;
form labels, instructions and error messages;
compatibility with common assistive technologies; and
access to information across desktop and mobile devices.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Although we work to identify and remove barriers, some content or third-party tools may not yet provide the experience we want for every visitor.

Third-Party Content

Our website may include or link to services operated by third parties, such as hotel, venue, livestream, social media, video or other external platforms. We cannot control the accessibility of third-party websites, but we welcome hearing from you if one of these services creates a barrier while you are trying to access information about The One.

If you have difficulty accessing information on our website, please contact us. Tell us:

the page or information you were trying to access;
the barrier you encountered; and
the format or type of assistance that would be useful.

We will work with you to provide the information in another reasonable format or through another communication method where possible.

Event Accessibility

Accessibility features vary by venue. We encourage dancers, families and studios to contact us in advance regarding venue access, seating, communication, sensory, backstage or other participation needs. Some arrangements may require coordination with the venue or a dancer’s studio, so early notice helps us provide the best available support.

Feedback

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our website and events. Feedback will be reviewed by our team and used to help identify and address barriers.
