COMPETITION RULES

Registration must be completed by a participating studio. Independent entries are not accepted. Studios are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited space. Entry fees are non-refundable. Credit may be issued in the name of the studio for an unforeseen medical issue when supported by a doctor’s note. Approved credits remain valid for one year. Doctor’s notes must be submitted before the event begins. Refunds will not be issued for entry cancellations.

Studios are responsible for selecting the correct level, discipline, age division and entry type. The One may contact a studio when clarification or an adjustment is required. Click here for level information

Music must be uploaded through Dance Comp Genie at least two weeks before the event. All studios must sign and submit a waiver on behalf of their dancers before the competition. Studios without a signed waiver will not be eligible to participate.

The One Dance Experience (ODE) reserves the right to add, change, or cancel tour dates if necessary. ODE may also refuse, cancel, or limit registrations, and change the format or location of events. Cancellations may occur due to insufficient registration, at ODE’s discretion.

Soloists who do not also perform in a group routine at the event are not eligible for overall or cash awards. They may still receive One of a Kind awards, scholarships and qualify for The Final One. Soloists may enter up to four solos at standard pricing. Each additional solo beyond four will be charged an additional fee. A dancer may not compete against themselves in the same discipline and category. If a dancer has two routines that would otherwise be entered in the same discipline and category, the second must be entered in Open or another technically appropriate discipline.
